Cardo has rolled out its new Venture helmet, built on the Leatt Moto 8.5 off road platform and fitted with the brand’s second generation DMC mesh communication system straight from the factory.
The setup includes 40 mm JBL speakers, so riders get proper sound quality alongside group comms out on the trail. Cardo says the electronics inside are serviceable too, meaning owners won’t be stuck buying a whole new unit if something needs fixing down the track.
Pricing lands at $1299.95 Australian RRP, and the Venture is starting to land at selected retailers now, though stock is limited for this first run.
Pairing a proper off road lid with mesh comms baked in from the start is a fairly logical move for Cardo, given how popular group riding communication has become for adventure and enduro riders. Rather than bolting a unit onto an existing helmet, this one’s designed around the tech from the ground up.
My two cents…
Cardo drops the Venture helmet, slapped on Leatt’s Moto 8.5 shell, mesh comms built in from birth. No sketchy aftermarket bolt on nonsense here. Basically Cardo read the adventure riding room and built the comms in from scratch instead of duct taping tech onto an old helmet like it’s 1995.
