In a recent review, the Sena 5R was praised for its features and performance. Highlighted were the excellent sound quality from its 40mm HD speakers and the Bluetooth 5.1 standard, making it easier on batteries and allowing up to four intercom connections.
The reviewer noted the usefulness of Sena’s smartphone app, with easy control and pairing with other units.
Some downsides were the limited view LCD display and occasional static experienced during BT intercom use. Overall, at $139, the Sena 5R is good.
My two cents…
Sena and Cardio are about the best in the market in my opinion. Fodsports is another budget option that’s also popular.
The Sena 5R is available at Revzilla (USA) and the Sportsbike Shop (UK).
