Motorcycle Screen That Finally Earns Its Spot

Motorcycle tech reviewer Tony from Vortecks may have finally found a screen worth keeping on his bike.

After testing several Android Auto and Apple CarPlay units, most came off quickly. The CPMC X6 looked different. He installed it on his Honda CB650F and focused on its headline feature, dual 2K cameras.

The issue showed up fast. The 2K footage looked choppy. Adobe Premiere flagged frame errors. He ran the original files through FFmpeg. The video was intact, but frame timing was irregular.

CPMC confirmed the cause. The system cannot hold a stable 30fps at 2K while running navigation, Blind Spot Detection, and recording. The fix was simple. Switch to 1080p.

He did. A planned 30 minute test ride turned into a five hour trip from Surin to Roi Et and back.

The X6 did not reboot. Navigation stayed locked. The screen remained clear in direct sunlight. The 1080p recordings were smooth. Blind Spot Detection stood out as a daily use feature.

Tony recommends the CPMC X6 as a 1080p system. Buyers who want true 2K recording should know the limit. At 1080p, it delivers stable performance and earns a permanent spot on his bike.

My two cents…

Motorcycle tech reviewer Tony from Vortecks might have finally met the unicorn: a screen that stays bolted to the bike. After a string of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay units that lasted about as long as a VHS rental, the CPMC X6 actually caught his eye. No reboots. Clear screen. Smooth video. Knight Rider vibes, minus the drama. Verdict: rock solid at 1080p. Just do not expect 2K miracles.
