Lone Rider just rolled out the MotoCAN v2, a Bluetooth controller aimed at riders who want simpler control over their auxiliary lights. Instead of hooking a laptop up to configure settings, owners can now handle everything through a dedicated mobile app.
The bigger update here is the cornering light feature. The system reads the bike’s lean angle and speed, then adjusts light output on the fly to help riders see further into turns at night or in low visibility. It’s the kind of feature that used to require expensive aftermarket setups or manual tuning, now built straight into the controller itself.
Lone Rider is positioning the v2 as a step up for riders who’ve grown tired of fiddling with wires and software just to get their lighting setup right. Pairing through Bluetooth means adjustments happen in seconds from a phone, no extra tools required.
For riders who spend a lot of time on unlit roads or backcountry routes, the dynamic lighting could make a real difference in how much warning they get before a curve sneaks up on them.
My two cents…
Big flex: cornering lights that read lean angle and speed, lighting up turns like some low budget Knight Rider. No more wire wrestling. Backroad night riders, rejoice, mullet optional.
