Steve Rose tested the Keis heated seat cushion through the winter of 2025 and into February 2026. He rode 800 miles across three bikes, including a Yamaha Fazer 1000 and a Honda CBR500R. The pad costs £100 and fits any 12V motorcycle using straps and a fused cable.
The Keis cushion offers both heat and comfort. It inflates via a hand pump and uses Micro-Carbon heating elements. Installation is quick, and the pad stays secure once fitted. The system draws around 2 amps on high power, safe for most motorcycles. Riders using other heated gear may need a splitter lead.
In testing, the seat reached full heat within minutes and stayed warm even at motorway speeds. On the hottest setting, it can become too warm. On medium, comfort levels stay steady in typical winter conditions. The control button sits under the rider’s left thigh and can be hard to use with gloves.
Beyond heating, Rose noted a comfort gain on long rides due to extra padding and better leg position. At £100, it’s solid value for flexible, portable warmth. The Keis heated seat cushion suits riders who want simple setup, reliable warmth, and added comfort through cold weather.
My two cents…
