A new installation guide walks riders through fitting the Outback Motortek Tail Tidy onto the Kawasaki KLE500. The bulky OEM rear fender plastic gets swapped for a compact unit that tucks the license plate up higher and tighter to the bike, giving the tail section a cleaner look.
Before pulling the factory fender off, riders should keep close track of all OEM hardware and wiring connectors since they’ll be needed again during reassembly. Once the new bracket goes on, the turn signal and license plate light wiring needs to be routed neatly before any fasteners get tightened down. Blue threadlocker on the mounting bolts is recommended too, since off road vibration can work bolts loose over time.

My two cents…
Ok so someone made a video teaching KLE500 owners to yeet their clunky OEM fender for Outback Motortek’s Tail Tidy. Tighter plate, cleaner tail, less Blues Brothers energy back there. Save your wiring bits, route signals before bolting, blue threadlocker or bolts vanish like your 90s CD collection. Video’s live now.
