GIVI has introduced the XSpace hard case, built on the Monokey mounting standard and designed for use as a side case or a top case. The focus is simple. More space when needed without unloading gear.
The XSpace expands from 27 liters to 36 liters. That equals a 33 percent increase in capacity. Riders adjust the volume by operating two external handles. A patented mechanical system extends the body telescopically while keeping contents secure. An internal elastic net and a water resistant lining help protect gear from rain and road spray.
GIVI says the case stays compact for daily riding and expands only when extra storage is required. The system maintains stability and fit whether mounted on the side or rear. Integrated handles allow easy carrying off the bike.
The XSpace fits any Monokey rack. Riders can swap it with existing Monokey luggage without extra hardware.
GIVI will display the XSpace at the 2026 BMW MOA Rally in Essex Junction, Vermont this June. The case comes in silver and black for $517.50 or solid black for $445.50. More details are available on the GIVI website.
My two cents…
GIVI just rolled out the XSpace hard case, built on the Monokey system, and it is basically luggage with a growth spurt. Side case or top case, your pick. The pitch is simple. More room when you need it, none of that roadside yard sale to reshuffle your socks. It jumps from 27 liters to 36 liters, a neat 33 percent bump. Two external handles trigger a patented telescopic stretch, like something MacGyver would have sketched on a diner napkin. Elastic net inside. Water resistant lining. Rain happens. GIVI says it stays tidy for daily rides, expands for the big haul, and swaps onto any Monokey rack.
