Venhill has rolled out a new set of exhaust valve cables built for the Honda CR125R and CR250R. It’s a small addition on paper, but anyone who’s owned one of these two strokes knows how quickly these cables wear out or snap at the worst possible moment.
The company built the cables using its usual setup, stainless steel inner wire paired with a lined outer casing, aimed at giving smoother action and a longer life than the stock parts. For a machine that relies on its power valve system to hit that classic two stroke punch, a worn or sticky cable can throw off the whole feel of the bike.
These CR125R and CR250R models still have a loyal following, plenty of them are still out on tracks or getting restored in garages. Parts like this aren’t always easy to find, so having a fresh, reliable option matters more than people might think.
Venhill says the cables are available now through its usual dealer network and online store, built to direct fit without any modification needed.
My two cents…
Venhill just dropped exhaust valve cables for the CR125R and CR250R, because apparently your stock one snapping mid moto like a bad Nirvana breakup wasn’t dramatic enough. These old two strokes still have fans. Finding parts is hard. Direct fit, no fuss, available now.
