MX Tech built a custom suspension setup for the KTM 890R. The kit also fits the KTM 790R and Husqvarna Norden Adventure.
The package includes a reworked fork and a custom tuned rear shock. MX Tech installs revised valving based on rider weight, luggage load, and terrain use. Spring rates match rider specs. Each unit ships ready to bolt on.
Setup starts with rider data. MX Tech asks for weight with gear, average luggage weight, riding pace, and terrain mix. A 180 pound rider who rides 60 percent dirt and 40 percent pavement will get a different tune than a 220 pound rider focused on long highway miles.
Installation takes basic shop tools. Total time runs about three hours. After install, sag must be set. Target rider sag is about 30 percent of total travel. Compression and rebound clickers come preset. Riders can fine tune in small steps after a short test ride.
The result is improved control and reduced dive under braking. Riders report better traction on loose climbs and more stability at highway speed. This setup gives the 890R a balanced feel across mixed terrain.

MX Tech decided the KTM 890R needed grown up suspension, not vibes and optimism. So they built a custom setup that also fits the 790R and the Husky Norden. Result? Less brake dive, more traction, steadier at speed. Finally, balance. Nirvana, minus the angst.
