Quin Helmet Tech Brings Smart Safety To Motorcyclists

A new helmet safety system called Quin is entering mass production for 2026. It measures more than 5000 data points every second to detect motorcycle crashes. The unit fits inside a helmet and links to a mobile app using Bluetooth.

Founder Ani Surabhi created Quin in 2017 after a friend was trapped in a crash for ten hours. The system can detect impact type, location, and severity. It alerts three emergency contacts and can connect to ambulance services through the Quin Response System. That network operates in 31 European nations and across the United States.

The Quin Pod is small and rechargeable. One charge lasts up to 50 hours. It updates wirelessly and works even if contacts do not have the app installed. Users can cancel an alert within 30 seconds.

Helmet partners include Nolan, O’Neal, and Fly Racing. Each helmet with Quin tech includes an NFC tag that securely shares rider data with emergency responders.

Surabhi plans to expand into more markets, including regions where motorcycles remain essential transport. He hopes to offer versions at different price levels. For many riders, Quin provides an extra layer of safety without ongoing costs.

My two cents…

Meet Quin, the brainy little helmet insert that might actually save your head “and” your phone battery. Coming in 2026, it clocks 5,000 data points a second to know when you’ve eaten asphalt. Founder Ani Surabhi dreamed it up after a nightmare story: friend trapped in a crash for ten freaking hours. Now it pings impacts, locates you, tattles to three loved ones, and calls the cavalry across 31 European nations plus the U.S. Rechargeable, update-happy, Bluetooth-y. Helmet collabs with Nolan, O’Neal, and Fly Racing add extra geek cred. Smart helmet, dumb crashes. Progress, right?
