Touratech has launched a new Plug and Travel soft luggage kit for the BMW R1300 GS. The system allows riders to mount soft luggage directly to the bike’s Vario carrier without tools. It gives riders flexibility between hard and soft luggage setups.
The adapter uses fibre-reinforced plastic and aluminium back plates. Each kit includes a lock set. Touratech says this is the first soft luggage system fully compatible with the R1300 GS’s original Vario rack.
The kit is available in three versions. The Endurance package costs £650. The Travel package costs £910. The Extreme Edition costs £997. Each suits a different use case, from daily riding to long-distance expeditions.
Touratech, based in Niedereschach, Germany, is known for designing accessories for adventure bikes. Its catalogue includes products for other BMW models like the F900 R.
The new kit aims to expand the practical range of the R1300 GS. It aligns with the GS rider’s demand for flexibility and durability during travel. The Plug and Travel system is available now through Touratech’s retail outlets and online store.

Interesting…. Touratech just solved your adventure-bike identity crisis. Their new Plug and Travel soft luggage kit lets BMW R1300 GS riders switch from hard cases to soft bags without so much as picking up a wrench. Personally, I think they look a little ugly 🙂
