Yoshimura RS 12 Boosts 2026 YZ450F Power

Yamaha’s redesigned 2026 YZ450F has earned praise for smooth, usable power. Many riders still want more punch and easier servicing. Yoshimura answers with its new RS 12 Hybrid Full System built specifically for the latest model.

The company redesigned the header instead of copying the factory layout. The new split header design makes removal and installation far simpler. Riders who have struggled with the stock header will notice the change right away.

Yoshimura uses stainless steel in high impact areas for durability. A titanium mid pipe and aluminium RS 12 muffler reduce weight. A carbon fibre end cap finishes the system. An internal resonator in the header and a secondary resonator in the muffler shape throttle response and exhaust tone.

Dyno testing shows gains of up to 9.3 per cent more horsepower and 9.6 per cent more torque at 6200 rpm over the standard exhaust. The focus sits on stronger mid range power where racers spend most of their time.

The RS 12 Hybrid Full System sells for 2499.95 under part number YO 234850S720. The RS 12 Slip On Muffler costs 1499.95 under part number YO 234852S320. Available now through authorised dealers.

My two cents…

Yamaha’s 2026 YZ450F already gets applause for smooth, usable grunt. Sensible. Mature. Almost responsible. But some riders still want more snap and less wrenching drama. Enter Yoshimura with the RS 12 Hybrid Full System, built just for this bike and clearly aimed at the crowd that thinks “good” is never quite good enough.
