Sena has introduced what it calls the motorcycle industry first Limited Lifetime Warranty for communication systems. The cover applies to defects in materials and workmanship on the main headset unit for the life of the product.
Batteries receive five years of cover from the date of purchase. This applies if capacity drops below 50 percent within that period. Clamp kits also carry five years of protection.
The first model under the scheme is the new Sena 60S EVO. It launched in Europe in May at 429 euro. Sena says more intercom models will join the programme.
The warranty is available to the original purchaser only. It cannot transfer to future owners. Sena encourages riders to register through its Motorcycles App to speed up claims, though registration is optional.
Premium intercoms now offer mesh networking, voice control, and smartphone integration. Riders often question long term durability due to daily exposure to rain, dust, and vibration. Sena says this warranty reflects confidence in its product testing and build quality.
The move may push rival brands to review their own cover as prices continue to rise.
