Oxford CLIQR Motorcycle Phone Mount System Explained

Oxford CLIQR Motorcycle Phone Mount System Explained

Many riders now use smartphones on the move. They rely on apps for navigation, calls, messages, and music. To do that safely, they need a secure mount in clear view.

Oxford Products offers a popular option with its CLIQR system. The British firm is a major name in motorcycle accessories. The system uses a universal adaptor with supplied 3M VHB tape. The adaptor sticks to a phone or case. It then clicks into a dual lock mount designed to stay secure on rough roads.

Riders can choose from handlebar mounts, mirror stem mounts, or top yoke options. Some include charging ports. Prices stay competitive. Machine Mart lists the OX869 USB Type C handlebar mount at £55.

The OX869 weighs 0.23kg and uses glass filled nylon for strength. It fits 22 to 22.5mm handlebars with a silicon insert and locking lever. The built in USB Type C port delivers 3Amp output. It connects to the bike battery using supplied cables. A splash resistant cap protects the charging port in wet weather.

Basic mounts without charging are also available. More adjustable versions suit riders who want extra flexibility.

My two cents…

Apparently we cannot just ride anymore. We need maps, messages, playlists, and that one call we should not answer. Fine. If your phone is coming along, it better stay put. No one wants their iPhone cartwheeling down the A road like a deleted scene from Mad Max.Oxford Products thinks it has the fix with its CLIQR system. Universal adaptor. Serious 3M VHB tape. Click it into a dual lock mount and trust it on bumpy roads. Handlebar, mirror stem, top yoke, take your pick. Some even charge your phone. The OX869 runs £55, weighs 0.23kg, fits standard bars, pumps 3 Amp via USB Type C, and shrugs off rain. Sensible. Almost disappointingly so.
