I think just about everyone would agree, the OEM tools and pouches that come with most new bikes are pretty lame! Most of the tools are low quality and you wouldn’t actually spend your own money buying.
If you are planning any sort of touring, a decent tool kit can be a life saver. It should cover the basics and reflect your own repair and maintenance skills. The tools should be organised and easily accessible, so you are going to need a tool roll. Personally I prefer the smallest tool roll I can get away with, so I don’t pack the kitchen sink 🙂

Verdict
All of the tool rolls reviewed were well-built and offered good value for money.
A decent tool roll is going to cost you between £15-20 (US$20-25), a small price to pay.
Personally, I settled on the Rhinowalk tool roll as it suits my needs, and forces me to keep a nice compact tool kit.
