Janus Motorcycles of Goshen, Indiana, continues to expand its range of accessories. One of its latest products is the Janus Motorcycle Helmet Lock. It is priced at $25 and designed for easy installation and reliable use.
The package includes a hex key, two bi-directional keys, and two flexible spacers. The spacers help fit handlebars or frame tubes between ¾ inch and 1 inch in diameter. The lock uses a die-cast steel body with a spring-loaded steel bolt and steel mounting clamp. The black satin powder coat finish and laser-etched logo match the brand’s signature style.
Installation takes about ten minutes. The lock clamps securely with a single hex socket head bolt hidden under the curved bolt when closed. This design protects the fastener from tampering. The included keys work in both directions, making it easier to use in low light. The lock clicks into place without turning the key, simplifying one-handed operation.
For helmets with ratchet-style chin straps, adding a heavy-duty key ring creates an attachment point. The Janus Helmet Lock delivers an effective, low-cost method to secure a helmet while keeping a clean look that fits both modern and vintage motorcycles.
My two cents…
Janus Motorcycles, those artisanal two-wheel romantics from Goshen, Indiana, just dropped their latest “tiny but mighty” gadget: a $25 helmet lock. Because apparently, your retro café racer deserves more than a cheap cable and hope. This thing comes with hex key, bi-directional keys (fancy), and spacers to fit bars between ¾ and 1 inch. Die-cast steel, black satin finish, branded just enough to whisper “tasteful obsession.” Takes ten minutes to install, less if you’re handy, more if you’re me. Hidden bolt, tamper-resistant, easy to click shut. It’s low-key brilliant. Retro aesthetics, modern paranoia, basically the Nirvana of motorcycle accessories.
