The initiative promotes the country’s capabilities in producing high-quality bicycles, with Portugal accounting for 18% of the EU’s total bicycle production in 2022. Key strengths include a focus on innovation and sustainability, exemplified by the establishment of the BIKiNNOV technology center, which supports local companies. The project also seeks to integrate with technology centers and universities to foster industrial investment. Portugal Bike Value actively participates in international events, such as the Toronto Bicycle Show, to increase its recognition in global markets.
