Clarke CBBT1: A £29.99 Bluetooth Car Battery Monitor

Machine Mart is selling a small gadget that could save drivers a lot of hassle. The Clarke CBBT1 12V Bluetooth Battery Monitor/Tester and Vehicle Locator costs just £29.99 and pairs with an app on Android or Apple phones to show real time battery voltage, power and temperature.

It fits easily and automatically checks the starting and charging systems, sending an alert if anything looks off. The app also logs each journey, including route, cost and driving habits, with data like voltage and charge percentage saved every two minutes for up to 30 days. All of it can be exported to Excel.

There’s a handy finder function too. It remembers where the vehicle was last parked and can guide you back to it through your phone’s navigation, though it won’t do live tracking. Drivers with more than one vehicle can monitor up to four devices at once through the same app.

Given the price and simple setup, it’s easy to see why customer reviews on the Machine Mart site have been largely positive.

My two cents…

Basically WebMD for your battery, minus the panic spiral. It logs trips too. Route, cost, habits, saved every two minutes for a month, exportable to Excel because apparently even car gadgets have spreadsheet dreams now.
