Macna rolls out its newest innovation for cold-weather riders, Bluetooth-enabled heated grips. The company has taken its smart heated gear concept a step further by allowing these grips to connect directly to a rider’s smartphone through the Macna app, available on both iOS and Android.
Through the app, riders can tweak the temperature of their heated gear from one screen instead of fumbling for different control buttons. There’s also a grouping feature, letting multiple pieces of gear sync to the same heat setting, plus timers to help preserve battery power during longer trips.
The grips themselves are designed to pair perfectly with heated gloves, creating full-hand warmth by heating both the palms and backs of the hands. Riders can adjust heat through integrated grip buttons for quick mid-ride changes.
Built for wet and chilly days, the grips are weatherproof and finished in durable TPR material that also absorbs vibration. With four selectable heat levels ranging from 40% to 100% power and simple color indicators, Macna’s latest release looks set to keep winter riders comfortable and in control.
My two cents…
App-controlled heated grips, now that is a little different. Personally, I like having physical buttons, but this does eliminate having to have a separate controller, so that will be a big plus for some, with limited real estate on the handlebars. Oxford???? 🙂
