Perun Moto has dropped a new video showing off its US 40 tail bag mounted on a Yamaha Ténéré 700, and the setup looks solid for riders who need flexible storage.
The bag itself ranges from 25 to 40 liters depending on how much gear someone’s hauling, thanks to a dual roll top closure that opens from either side. That means grabbing stuff out of the bag doesn’t require unpacking the whole thing, which matters when you’re stopped on the side of a trail somewhere.
The video walks through how the bag pairs with Perun Moto’s top luggage rack for the Ténéré 700, secured using Kriega G hook straps. The rack itself gives the bag a wide, stable surface to sit on, and the edges are chamfered smooth so the straps don’t wear down over time from friction.
Extra attachment points on the bag let riders strap on additional gear externally too, so there’s room to scale up for longer trips without needing a completely different setup.
Together the bag and rack combo seems built for riders who go from quick day trips to longer multi day adventures without swapping gear. The rack itself is available now through Perun Moto’s site for anyone running a Tenere 700 who wants to add it to their build.
My two cents…
The US 40 stretches 25 to 40 liters, dual roll top, grab gear without the full unpacking circus. Pairs with their rack via Kriega hooks, smooth chamfered edges so straps don’t fray like your patience on hour six. Extra straps mean more stuff. Rack’s available now. Adventure capitalism, baby.
