A new video puts the Puig Touring windshield through its paces on the BMW F 450 GS, testing it under actual riding conditions rather than a lab setup. The footage tracks how air moves around the helmet and upper body once the screen is fitted, comparing turbulence levels against the stock configuration.
Riders get a look at stability and comfort across a range of speeds, giving a sense of how the accessory holds up during everyday commutes as well as longer trips. According to the test, the windshield cuts down wind buffeting and turbulence noticeably, which translates into a calmer ride when the miles start adding up.
Puig built the Touring screen to boost aerodynamic coverage without clashing with the bike’s adventure styling. It’s meant to work with the F 450 GS’s existing look while giving riders extra protection for distance riding.
The windshield is available now through Puig’s site, with the full breakdown shown in the video for anyone curious about how it performs before buying.
My two cents…
Some brave soul strapped a camera to their helmet and actually rode the BMW F 450 GS with Puig’s Touring windshield, real roads, real wind, no wind tunnel nonsense. Nice!
