Sena took its new PHANTOM Cam helmet out on the road with actual riders to see how it holds up beyond the spec sheet, and the answers came back pretty positive.
The helmet packs a built in 4K camera that also grabs audio from anyone connected through Sena’s Mesh Intercom. So a group ride turns into footage and conversation all captured at once, which makes it a solid pick for moto vloggers or anyone riding in a pack.
What riders seemed to like most is how little setup it takes. No action cam bolted to the side, no tangled wires, no external mic. Just put it on, connect to your crew through Mesh, hit record, and go.
There’s a safety angle too. Since the camera runs the whole ride, riders get a record of what happened on the road, which brings a little extra peace of mind in case something goes wrong out there.
Beyond the camera, PHANTOM Cam comes loaded with Mesh comms, music playback, GPS audio, a built in sun visor, comfortable interior padding, and integrated lighting.
It’s set to launch Q4 2026, with more details available at sena.com.
My two cents…
Riders loved the “put it on and go” simplicity, plus the built in dashcam vibe means proof exists if the road turns ugly. Extras: comms, music, GPS audio, visor, comfy padding, lights. Launches Q4 2026. Details at sena.com, because apparently we still read websites.
