Machine Mart is flagging the Clarke PRO389 62 piece socket and bit set as one of its best sellers, and the price makes it easy to understand why. Normally £83.98, it’s currently down to £75.58.
The set covers both ½ and ¼ inch drives, giving home mechanics a proper range of options for garage or workshop jobs. All 30 sockets, 18 in ½ inch and 12 in ¼ inch, are made from Chrome Vanadium, running from 4.5mm right up to 32mm.
There’s a matching quick release, reversible ratchet drive for each size, with two extension bars on the ½ inch and three on the ¼ inch. Extras include sliding T bars, universal joints, a ½ inch breaker bar, a ¼ inch ‘Go Through’ handle with coupling adapter, and two spark plug sockets sized 16mm and 21mm.
Everything fits into a durable plastic case built specifically for the set. Machine Mart stocks socket sets from under £10 to over £300, but this one sits comfortably in the mid to high end bracket, aimed squarely at anyone kitting out a home workshop properly.
My two cents…
Machine Mart’s crowning this Clarke PRO389 62 piece set a bestseller. Not cheap, not bank breaking. Mid range glory for garage warriors who finally want their tools organized like actual adults, unlike your sock drawer.
