Akaso 360 Delivers Budget 5.7K Action Camera For Riders

Akaso has entered the 360 camera market with a clear goal. It wants to give riders a cheaper way to film third person footage without spending £500 on an Insta360 X5.

The new Akaso 360 costs £299.99 in Motorcycle Combo form. The bundle includes two batteries, a 128GB card, clamps and a selfie stick. The camera records 5.7K 360 video, shoots 72MP photos and offers horizon lock and image stabilisation.

On the road and track, stabilisation performs well. Footage stays level during hard acceleration and fast direction changes. Battery life averages 55 minutes per battery. Two come in the box, which helps during long ride days.

Image quality looks good on a phone screen. Detail drops on a large monitor. Colours appear bright straight from the camera. Audio struggles at speed due to wind noise. The desktop editing app works, though it feels less refined and exports take time at high bitrate settings.

The camera is splash resistant only. Riders will need care in heavy rain.

Akaso delivers solid 360 filming at a lower price. It suits casual riders who want stable footage and a complete kit without premium cost.

My two cents…

On paper, solid. On road or track, it stays impressively level. Hard launches, quick flicks, no Blair Witch wobble. Each battery runs about 55 minutes, and you get two. Nice. Footage pops on your phone, less so on a big monitor. Audio hates wind. The app works, just slow. Splash resistant only, so maybe do not test it in a monsoon.
