Garmin has released the zūmo XT3 motorcycle sat nav. It replaces the XT line and comes in 4.7-inch and 6-inch touchscreen versions. Both screens work with gloves and remain clear in sunlight. The unit is built for vibration, weather, and impact resistance. It meets MIL-STD-810 standards and has an IPX7 water rating.
The XT3 adds a live lean angle display that tracks how far the bike tilts in real time. It also logs G-force, speed, and other ride data. Riders can check summaries in the Tread smartphone app.
Mapping features include preloaded street and high-definition topographic maps. Satellite imagery can be downloaded. An Outdoor Maps+ subscription adds Adventure Roads and Trails with off-road routing. The device also supports Great Rides and Popular Moto Paths generated by other users.
Routes can be planned on the device or through the app, with GPX, KML, and KMZ support. Group tracking is available for connected riders.
The XT3 integrates with other Garmin gear, including radar, handlebar controllers, and inReach devices. A Performance Package offers lap timing and drag metrics for £9.99 monthly or £99.99 per year.
The zūmo XT3 will be available from February 20, 2026, starting at £429.99.
My two cents…
Not big into SatNav’s, more of an AppleCar smart display guy. That said, if you are contemplating a RTW trip and lots of dirt, SatNav’s are the way to go.
