Abus Granit Victory XPlus 68 Offers Strong Compact Security

The Abus Granit Victory XPlus 68 is a compact disc lock tested by John Milbank in February 2026. It costs £95 and weighs 640g. Three versions exist: the Roll Up with a built-in reminder cable, the Full with a separate coiled cable, and the Half with a semi-circular pin for tighter brake disc fits.

Abus provides two keys and a pouch, but the pouch is tight and not bike-mountable. A £20 bracket is optional. The lock lacks a cover on the keyway, so grime buildup can occur in bad weather. The 14.1mm steel pin fits most standard discs, including hub-mounted BMW setups. It can double as a padlock for many chains but not all noose-end models.

Testing showed strong resistance against drills, prying tools, hammers, saws, and even angle grinders. The Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond rating confirms its durability. The built-in reminder cable helps avoid accidental damage from riding off with the lock still attached.

The lock’s main downside is limited space when pairing with a chain, though an optional longer pin solves this. Overall, the Abus 68 Granit Victory XPlus offers high security, good adaptability, and excellent real-world protection for daily riders.

My two cents…

Tested by John Milbank from Bennett’s, this 640‑gram bruiser costs £95 and comes in three flavours, basically the Nirvana of disc locks: small, loud, indestructible. Great review as always!
